The Discovery Museum, Connecticut's Adventure in Art and Science, features three fun-filled floors of Hands-On Science and Art, two Fine Art Galleries, daily planetarium shows and live science demonstrations on weekends. Kids love the museum's simulated space adventures at the Challenger Learning Center. Call and reserve your spot on an upcoming full day mission, or schedule to bring a whole group.

Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo, The state's only accredited zoo features more than 300 specimens. The zoo's New World Tropics Building — with a variety of wildlife in a South American rain forest setting — is open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The zoo is open 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily. Admission is $5 for adults; $3 children ages 3 to 11 & seniors.

Captain's Cove 
Located on Historic Black Rock Harbor, Captain's Cove is an active maritime and amusement center. There is no admission and the family atmosphere is casual. So pack up the kids, forget about the lawn, leave your high heels at home, and come on down to the "Cove"!

Downtown Cabaret Theatre
See Broadway favorites and original musicals close-up in an informal cabaret setting. You can bring your own food and refreshments. There is also a snack and soda/setup concession. Tickets for adults, at $19.50 to $25; $16 for seniors and Students, Saturday and Sunday 5:30 p.m. shows only. Group rates available for 24 or more. Reservations required. Open year round. Housatonic Museum of Art

Barnum Museum
The world's only museum dedicated to the life and times of Phineas Taylor Barnum and Bridgeport's industrial heritage. Built in 1893, highlights include a miniature circus, clown costumes and personal mementos of Barnum, Tom Thumb and Jenny Lind. The museum's wing dedicated to temporary exhibits was designed by renowned architect Richard Meier.

Playhouse on the Green
A professional theatre located in downtown Bridgeport. The theatre offers a wide range of shows and events including comedies, dramas, musicals, as well as monthly children’s shows. The new state-of the art, 228 seat theatre is handicapped accessible and offers free, secure parking. Ticket prices range from $23-$30.

The Arena at Harbor Yard
The Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League take to the ice as the premier affiliate of the New York Islanders. The Arena is an incredible state-of-the-art facility conveniently located off I-95 overlooking the Long Island Sound in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Every one of the Arena's nearly 9,000 seats for hockey will feature a great view of top-quality, edge-of-your-seat American Hockey League action. Fans can also catch the Fairfield University basketball team, the Stags, playing here, as well as a variety of special events.

Black Rock Art Center
The Black Rock Art Center is a multi-cultural center with five culturally diverse resident cultural organizations and a number of other center users. This past Spring the Center  presented over 30 events including music, cabaret, film, dance and exhibitions.  They also present  the summer concert series at McLevy Green.
