Steel Point Redevelopment
creation of a new mixed-use waterfront community.  The project will contain nearly four million square feet of new retail, residential, commercial and office space.  Public amenities include a waterfront promenade lined with shops and restaurants, and ten acres of open space.

Hubbell site- Redevelopment
Western Block-1.9 acres/Eastern Block-3.75 acres.  City evaluating re-use potential

Downtown North
Renovation of 14 city-owned buildings and construction of a new 14-story residential building to create 510 units of downtown housing and 100,000 square feet of retail space.  Construction to start in the third quarter of 2006.

Lafayette Circle Apartments
Proposed new 15-story, 156 unit downtown residential tower.

60 Main Street
Redevelopment project adjacent to Seaside Park and the University of Bridgeport

Seaview Avenue Corridor
Environmental Assessment & Preliminary Engineering completed.  Final engineering design to begin Oct 04.  Additional federal funds requested under TEA. Reauthorization for final design & ROW, plus access road into Industrial Park

Container Barge Feeder Service
Service from New York/New Jersey.  State designation of Bridgeport as initial site in May 2003

West End/Cherry St/ I-95 Corridor Improvement Plan
Planning for the reuse of DOT-owned land into light industrial development.  Evaluate underutilized existing structure for reuse.

Port Improvements Logistec
25,000 sf refrigeration warehouse to be constructed, pending tenant commitment. Dredging/bulkhead work needs to be done

High Speed Ferry
Bid and planning underway

Dredge Harbor Channel
Dredged Material Management Plan to be designed.  Army Corps funds approved. Investigation underway

Plan to connect ferry terminal & sports complex
Port Authority Ferry Complex Master Plan to be completed in 2006

Start assessment on reuse options Pleasure Beach and Johnson's Creek.
RFP out to bid for demo of Pleasure Beach bridge. Seeking bridge replacement alternatives. Feasibility study of using ferry service  is underway

Pequonnock Riverfront
Plans complete; development options being assessed.

Downtown Waterfront Development Site
RFQ for 4-acre downtown waterfront development site to be issued in 2006.

Sikorsky Memorial Airport
Assemble assessment team. Review and analyze development options

Downtown Parking Issues
City Transit Oriented Development Study to be completed in June, 2006.

Water Street Dock Parking Deck
Extension of the Water St. Dock to include a new two-level parking deck for 183 cars

Superior Courthouses
New Superior Courthouse--placed on hold by the state

Juvenile Court and Detention Center
State purchased former Public Works garage in 2002 for new construction of a new, $51 M  88 bed facility and courthouse

Congress Plaza Urban Renewal Area
RFQ for 10-12 acre city-owned development site in downtown to be issued in 2006.

Poli Theater Complex Restoration Project
Two historic theaters (3,200 and 2,500 seats). Will be included in Congress Plaza Urban Renewal Project.  RFQ to be issued in 2006.

Pequonnock Apt. Redevelopment Site
Mixed use development site. Demolition completed. RFQ for development sto be issued in 2006

East Main Street Retail
Activities include redevelopment of selected vacant sites commercial facade program, blight removal/parking & lighting improvements, streetscape improvements, business recruitment

Redevelopment Former Father Panik site
Site for 2 new city schools

East Side Mews
Project to rehabilitate 6 four story buildings. Completed development will consist of 20 family units-4 will be handicapped accessible

Veteran’s Memorial Park 
Par 3 golf course, new sports fields, amphitheater, rehab of courts, skating pond, improved parking

Hall Neighborhood House Block 819
41 Units of elderly housing; 40,000 sf commercial strip for retail, housing, office space

New Schools
Construction of five new city schools at a cost of $260 M and two new regional magnet schools. 

Burroughs Community Center
11,000 sf addition to building to include gymnasium, lockers, game room, multi-purpose room and office space

Black Rock Library Renovations
New elevator, community room, electrical upgrade, additional stack space and addition to existing building

Marina Village
BHA to renovate 5 Buildings

Ferry Garage
